May I share content between my Quoox subscriptions?
You may use Quoox Marketplace to share content between your Quoox subscriptions, but it is a requirement for vendors to offer at least one (genuinely useful) product to Quoox customers – whether it be free, or at a reasonable market rate. Attempts to sidestep this rule or to operate disingenuously will result in suspension of the Marketplace vendor account.
How are marketplace resources billed/charged?
If a vendor offers a resource/product at a fee, payment will be taken by credit/debit card within the vendor sales portal. The payment will be directly between the vendor and the customer, and Quoox will instigate payment via the vendor’s Stripe account. Quoox ensures that all payment data remains fully secure, and is not revealed to the vendor.
In this scenario Quoox does not act as a middle-man. The entire payment (minus Stripe fees) is paid to the vendor directly by Stripe, in line with Stripe’s standard operating processes.
What about invoices or receipts?
Quoox will automatically generate a payment invoice/receipt for any purchases made through Marketplace, and will send the document to the customer.
Can purchases sync with my accounting system?
If you (the vendor) use Xero and have it linked to your Quoox account, your marketplace transactions will be recorded in Xero in the usual manner.
Within the Xero section of the Integrations page of the main Quoox Settings, you can set the account code under which the marketplace transaction is imported. The default will be “Sales”.
What are the marketplace fees?
There are no additional fees for the buyer (beyond the vendor’s charge for the resource). Seller fees are charged monthly in arrears, as part of the Quoox subscription invoice.
The Quoox handling and delivery fees, at the time of writing this FAQ, are:
- UK: £1 for resources up to £25, or 4% over £25
- US: $1 for resources up to $25, or 4% over $25
- EUR: £1 for resources up to €30, or 3.48% over €30
- AUD: £1 for resources up to $45, or 2.24% over $45
Quoox does not levy any fees for resources delivered at zero cost. Marketplace vendors with Quoox partnership arrangements are charged as per the contract payment schedule.
How many times may I import a resource?
Quoox considers that, once a buyer has purchased a resource, they have lifetime access to it.
A buyer may import the same resource into their system as many times as they wish, although it is recommended the item only be imported once unless there is a genuine reason for requiring multiple copies (E.g. you’re tailoring the same source nurture program for multiple different uses).
If a vendor removes a resource from sale, it remains available to those who have purchased it. If a vendor wishes to remove a product completely from their system, they must provide existing purchasers 28 days noticed before it is removed. This gives the purchasers ample time to import and preserve the content they purchased.
Inappropriate or copyright material
Quoox does not permit inappropriate, offensive or copyright material to be uploaded anywhere within the system. The same applies to Marketplace.
By selling resources through Marketplace, the vendor warrants that they own all necessary intellectual property and licenses to be able to do so.
Any vendor found to be selling copyright material, material originated from another provider, or another providers material without significant re-working will be held in violation of Quoox’s terms & conditions, and their marketplace portal and Quoox offering will be suspended.
How do I get support for my resource?
The Quoox helpdesk team only provide support for the Quoox system. Resource support should be sought from the vendor from whom you purchased the content. If they have not provided contact details, a contact form is available upon the vendor’s Quoox marketplace portal site.
Overlays and merge fields
Details for vendors in using overlays and merge fields can be found here.
It is important for vendors to remember that customer logos come in all sorts of shapes, sizes and colours. Similarly, customer text content may vary in length. By considering these two “unknowns” in the base design of the underlying resource, the use of overlays can be extremely powerful and effective.
Partnership arrangements
Quoox is always willing to entertain a partnership arrangement, where a content provider partners with Quoox to use Quoox as the primary content delivery vehicle for their content.
We always operate fairly and with transparency. A strong partnership can yield benefits for all parties concerned, including Quoox customers and other marketplace vendors.
