Hi guys, welcome to Quoox University.
So this video is to show you how to add venues to your account. Really important that we do this properly and get as much information in as we can, because this is what your current and future members will see both on the fitness hub and in the app. So as much detail as possible here, please, guys.
So we’re gonna start at my.quoox.com. We’re gonna get taken to our trusty login page. My details have been saved because I clicked remember me and we’re gonna log in and come straight to our dashboard. So in this area, you’ll have your main dashboard information.
We’re actually gonna click on the menu bar on the left-hand side, we’re gonna go straight down to “Settings” and that’s gonna bring up a secondary list, and about halfway down, we’re gonna click on “Venues”.
Now what we’re gonna do is we’re gonna add a new venue.
So if you’ve only got one venue, obviously, you can just put your main venue or you can put the location name, so I’m gonna put Colchester. I’m gonna put in our Colchester Gym, and I’m gonna put the Innovation Centre where we’re based. And we’re based in Essex, United Kingdom. We’re based in Colchester, Essex, CO4 3 Z Q.
Now you have to put in the country and you have to put in your time zone because that will all link up to the times that you’re open, et cetera. How may your customers contact this venue?
I’d highly recommend putting either your gym manager, maybe assistant manager, you can put in a landline number if you’ve got one, but whatever contact number you want it to be, and then you might want to put in your support or help desk or colchester@gym email address just so it doesn’t go through into your inbox and goes to a dedicated inbox for any enquiries about the gym.
When it comes to describing the venue, I’d highly recommend adding as much description as you can. All of the facilities that you have, maybe, so you might have a gym, a pool, and a spa. You can add as much or as little detail around those different things as you like, but the more detail, the better.
Details on how to find the venue can be really useful if you’re in a more of a residential area, maybe you’re tucked away behind a couple of left turns, so for example, we could put, “take second left on Boundary Road”. Anything else that you think might be helpful, so for example, “free parking”, maybe have to “enter your reg at kiosk on arrival.” You can enter that there as well. So they know what they need to do based on the extra information that you provided them. It’ll show up on the app and the FitnessHub.
Now you’ll see here, we’ve got a navigation map. You can either add your latitude and longitude if you know that, I don’t think I’d ever know that, so it’s up to you, but if you want to set them up from venue postcode, it will take the information from the postcode you entered up here, which is great, so it saves you a bit of time, so just click set map from venue postcode. It will add the pin.
If for some reason it’s, like most postcodes, one main location, you can, actually, move the pins so that you can select another pin or you can select anywhere on the map and it will move the pin for you. So I’m just gonna put our Innovation Centre and then you can scroll down and save.
So now your gym’s been added. You can then start editing more information so you can specify the opening times. S
o most of the times on a Sunday, it might open at 8:00 am and close at 6:00 pm. And then you need to click the little tick on the right-hand side to save that time. I’d recommend going through and adding all of your hours straight away because then it just saves you having to do it or forgetting to do it, and then people ringing you up asking what time you’re open on a Saturday. So add all of those hours in as soon as you can.
Then you can specify any rooms or areas within the venue. So for example, if you’ve got a set area where you do all of your PT sessions, you could do PT location, it’s got a capacity of two because it’s normally one or two of you. “Go to area for PT sessions prior to start.” That’s fine, you could add that in. It might be that you have your reception area. Capacity could be 15, if you’ve got a waiting area, and then you can add main reception, always manned for any queries . So you can tick that, save as many or as little as you like. It might actually be that you have separate areas on the gym floor that you want to split out. That’s completely up to you. You can add as many or as little as you like.
Uploading photos, highly, highly recommend. All of the photos you upload will be used in the app and for any campaign registration that you do or campaigns that you send out. So make sure you put a photo that you’re happy to be on most of your content and outgoing information, and then upload one that you want on the app as well. That is as easy as it gets to add a venue.
You may want to add additional venues for different areas within the gym. Doing this means that you can report on those different areas and I’ll show you reporting in a different video. But for example, if you have the pool, you may want to have a pool registered as one venue. You may want to then add your main gym as a separate venue and doing that will allow you to report on each different venue in terms of attendance, usage, maybe times that people are using it the most. And I can show you that in the next video, which will be around reporting.
If you have any questions, as always, go to the support page and raise a ticket and I’ll be able to help you there. Otherwise, speak to you soon.
