Hi, welcome to Quoox University.
In this video, we’re gonna cover off how you can sell your memberships using a campaign and we’re gonna take you through the process step by step. So let’s start by logging into our Quoox platform so we’re gonna go to my.Quoox.com.
We’re gonna log in to our platform and that’s gonna bring us to our main dashboard as always. So what we need to do is basically start from creating a new campaign.
Now it’s worth bearing in mind that if you’re watching this video first off, lovely to meet you, but you might want to go back and watch how to create your memberships and adding credit packs to your memberships and all of those lovely videos so that you’ve got them set up ready to use for the campaign. This is definitely a later stage once you’ve done that. If you’ve done all the onboarding and you’re ready to go, let’s crack on and go through the steps.
So we’re gonna go to our main menu on the left hand side, we’re gonna go into connect and promote, and then we’re gonna click on campaigns. So just to reiterate, this is specifically for selling your memberships on a landing page and creating a campaign around that.
Now, the beauty of how Quoox has been set up for you is that we actually have some campaign templates. So I’ve basically clicked on add, the big green add button under campaign listings. And you’ll see here that we’ve got a good selection of essentially templates that you could use and just edit as you wish, one of which being membership purchase. So if you don’t know where to start, you can use this template and then we can build it from there so I’m gonna go ahead and select the membership purchase.
Now, what you’ll see is a list of tabs with different settings and options available on it and then you have your summary page, which were on here. So once this campaign goes live, it’s a really great place to see essentially all of the recent activity over the last 30 days. You can see your landing page visits, you can see the number of registrations and you can see the number of bookings off the back of that campaign. So you can really track your return on investment on specific memberships maybe, or how you’ve built that page. It’s a really great way to see what’s going on.
Step 1
Let’s start from the beginning. We’ve got summary, hooks, landing pages, sign-up questions and post registration reach outs.
I want to start with what we’re selling in this campaign. So you’ll see under the summary that we’ve got campaign type, start, finish, whether they can have advanced bookings and what the default venue is. Now, I’m gonna go ahead and click edit. And that takes me into the edit page of the summary.
Now when you’re creating a membership promotion, let’s say this is our new memberships purchase page. And the campaign type will always be a membership promotion. By selecting a membership promotion as the campaign type, it allows us to select promoted memberships. So the default source is going to be a campaign because that’s where it will have come from, this campaign.
And then we can select which memberships we wish to promote. So you can select one, you could select all of them. It might be a landing page where you are advertising all of your memberships for the gym or facility, and you want people to have the selection. So we can go ahead and do that. But essentially this is completely up to you what you want to add and include on that membership page.
So for the sake of showing you how it works, I’m going to do two offerings on this campaign. I’m gonna go for the 20 sessions a month, or you can go for four credits a week. It might be also that you want to put a trial session on there or your standard membership. It depends on what you’ve got set up. Maybe you have bronze, silver, gold. That’s a very common one and you want to add all three, you do you.
So I’m gonna do me and I’m gonna add 20 sessions a month and four credits a week. Now I know that in my campaign, I’ve attributed it to two memberships that I want to promote and track how many people have registered through this campaign.
Now we have other settings as well. We’ve got that you can start the membership on or after, this applies to existing members. So let’s say for example, I, as an existing member, decide actually I want to sign up for 20 sessions a month and I’m currently only on 10. I can do that, but you might want to restrict when that change occurs. So it might be that that happens on the first of the next month. So for us now, that’s the first of November. So you can add that to apply to existing members if they want to log in and change their membership.
You can also add a campaign start and finish date. So maybe it’s that you’ve got promotional memberships that you want to sell, where for this month only, they can get 30 credits a month for the same price as 20, et cetera, et cetera. If you want to do that, you can add a campaign start and finish date. It’s worth bearing in mind if you add a campaign start date, the landing page will not become live until said date. So if you do want to do that, I’d go ahead and do that last, once you’ve edited and played around and got it looking how you want it to look, because if you try to use the landing page, it won’t work because it’s not active yet.
We’ll recap that at the end, but essentially you can limit how long, sorry, that page is live for especially if it’s a promotion, but let’s say for the argument of this demo, it’s an ongoing membership page where everyone can sign up for our regular membership so we’re gonna leave that open.
Then you can also select the default venue. So for example, this membership page is for Chelmsford. You can allow venue selection, you can turn that on or off. So essentially my default venue is Chelmsford cause that’s my main facility. But if I allow venue selection, and I’ll show you this later, when a new member wants to sign up, they can select from all three venues and online if they want to.
You then have all three tick box options at the bottom. So you’ve got; do not send the default lead sign up email. So you’d have set this up, and you have another video explaining how to do that, or do not send the default member welcome email and allow user to set up their account password during sign ups. So you might wish to do that so they can set up their account in there and then, then they’ve literally as a new member bought their membership, made a prorated payment and then they set up their account.
So they’ve basically had a zero touch sign up, which is great. So you might want to do that.
You might also have specific emails or post registration information that you want to send out, which we’ll set up in our post registration reach out section. So you might select that you don’t want them to get your default. However, you may want them to have that and then it saves you another bit of contact. So options that are completely up to you as always. But if it’s a membership promotion, just make sure you’ve selected the correct campaign type and the correct memberships that you want promoted on that page and make sure you click save.
Now, once we’ve done that, we can start working through the other tabs.
Hooks
So we’ve got hooks. Now hooks is essentially… I’ll show you what it looks like, the marketing if you will. So you’ve got your title, what landing page it’s gonna sit on, what source it’s attributed to.
So again, this is our campaign. We want it to sit on our new member purchase landing page. We want it to be for our Chelmsford venue, and then we can put a summary and we can put more marketing texts in here. So we can either really beef this up or we can leave it to our immersive content builder, landing page builder, and we can create that with images and text boxes and all those lovely things and I’ll show you what that looks like in a minute, but essentially this is for you to edit.
You can either use one of our Quoox images or you can upload your own custom image, maybe a picture of your gym or a venue. And then you can basically make this as you want it really. And you can add as many or as little hooks as you like. So you don’t have to just have the one, you might want to create a new one. And this is also what’s published on social media so it does draw attention to your campaign so it’s worth having a look into that.
I’m gonna move on to sign up questions and post registration reach-out cause I want to show you the landing page last so we can go through the process as a member.
Sign Up Questions
So for sign-up questions, you might have specific information that you want to ask your future members.
So it might be what’s already pre-populated that you could copy that: So tell us about your health and fitness goals.
It could also be anything around maybe you’ve got something else that you’re promoting, like a nutritional plan or a diet plan. So you could ask the question: Are you looking for help with your diet? If you are, then they can say yes or no, essentially, and you can put it as a required question.
So what that means is it comes up as you must answer this to progress to the next step. So if you want them to answer specific questions, add them here and make them required, and then you’ll get those answers when they sign up, which is great. So you get a bit of insight to your new members straight away.
If you’re adding questions in here, always tick on the actions and then click save. And that way we make sure it’s saved into our sign-up questions tab.
Post Registration Reachouts
Then we have our post registration reach outs. Now this is where you can basically add nurture stages once they’ve registered.
So what you’ll see in the campaign if I go back a step is that we’ve actually got some pre-populated templates for you which can go out straight away. Now these are all standard emails. So basically: You took the first step, well done for signing up/ Strike while the iron’s hot/ Crack on, you’ve got this free trial; or: You’ve got this new membership.
And then at the end of maybe a free trial session, for example: Have you mold it over, are you happy? Do you want to continue with a full membership?
Now you might want to change these. So for this campaign specifically, I’m looking at selling my standard memberships. So I might change those to: Great to have you on board, excited to see you, how are things going? Do you want a free PT session (for example) to show you how to do things? You can make this as tailored as you like for each specific membership campaign that you might create.
If you’re happy with these, or you just want to add a new reach out, you click the new add a reach out button, nice big green one. And then you can add as much information here as you like.
So you can give it a name which essentially would come up as the subject. Then you can select when that goes out after their registration. So you can do this within days, hours or minutes. So it might be within 10 minutes of them registering, maybe even five.
Then you have the reach out methods. So you’ve got either an SMS, a standard email, one or the other depending on what kind of information you’re capturing, or you’ve got an immersive email. Now I’ll have done another video on how to create and edit immersive emails so please go and have a look at that so you’ve got some more information, but for the sake of this demo, I’m not gonna show you how to create an email! I’m sure you all know how to write your own marketing information.
So you can edit your message here. You can add all of your email content and you’ve got your standard email sort of edit filters, if you will. So you can add as many or as little post registration reach outs as you wish, or you can use the ones that have been given to you within the template.
Recap
So now what we’ve done is we’ve added the memberships we want to sell through this campaign.
We’ve added hooks that we want to make our content look more eye capturing and engaging for new members or existing and we’ve got that ready for both the landing page and social media.
We’ve added our signup questions and we’ve added our post registration reach outs so this campaign is ready to go.
We just need to make sure we’re happy with the landing page.
Editing Landing Page
So let’s go ahead to our landing pages tab.
Now what you’ll see here is we’ve got a pre-populated landing page for you. Now this will be the default. You have a couple of options here. You can either edit the landing page we’ve already created. You could add a new landing page and start from scratch, or you can upload your own landing page.
So a number of our clients might have a web developer, for example, that has already created a landing page and they want to upload that to the Quoox fitness hub. You can do that by uploading the package and there’ll be another video with instructions on how to do that and we can send you the information, but for now, we’re gonna go ahead and edit the pre-populated landing page.
So I’m gonna go and edit landing page content. And that’s gonna take me to my landing page editor. Now, what I can see here is the template that’s been created for me by Quoox.
So I can either keep this as it is with some edits around client testimonials. What you’ll see here is under get in touch, it’s got my business contact email, business phone that will be pre-populated and I’ll show you what that looks like. And then we’ve got options with buttons to select which membership they want to buy.
Now with all of this, if you click on a certain area, you can edit the button, you can edit the link and you can delete it if you wish. You can use our basic templates or you’ve got all different types of functions that you can use here so you can select help in FAQ buttons. Maybe you want to have frequently asked questions about your membership somewhere, and then you can edit the information in here, but you can literally make this as detailed as you like. It can be tailored to how you want it to look. There’s so many different templates in here. You’ve got some for pricing. You might want to change the membership options and add your bronze, silver and gold pricing. The world is your oyster in this editor basically.
So you can either use the template or you can completely create your own and this is how you do it from scratch as well. So we’re gonna cancel that and leave it as it is for now. And then we’re gonna have a look at the landing page.
So I’m gonna click on my little clipboard next to the URL, and I’m gonna copy that into a new tab. So this is actually the live landing page.
Now if you remember, I mentioned that if you add a campaign start date that is in the future, so let’s say it’s tomorrow, I wouldn’t be able to access this landing page right now because it’s not live. So whilst you’re editing, leave that campaign start date blank. If you want it to be set for a certain time or period so for example, from the first to the 31st of the month, then you can do that once you finished editing, otherwise you won’t be able to have a look and see how it’s working. So I want to show you how this works.
So let’s say we want to buy a membership. I’m gonna pretend I’m a new member. What that’s done is it’s taken me to enter my details and register below. So I’m gonna be Testing Tester for the sake of this and I’m gonna add my email address. So: [email protected]. (helps if you can type guys!) .co.uk, and then I’m gonna add my mobile number.
Now what you’ll see here is we’ve got to select our preferred regular venue. If you remember, we selected our default venue and then we allowed the member to select theirs. So I might not live in Chelmsford. I’m actually nearer to Norwich so I’m gonna select that as my preferred regular venue.
And then what you’ll see is we’ve asked them to tell us about their health and fitness goals. We’ve put that question in for sign-up and it’s come up on our sign-up box. So I want to lose weight and tone up, for example.
You then have the tick box to give consent for their information so GDPR compliant, and then we can register. Now we’ve clicked the register button, we then have the option to select which membership we want to buy.
Now because we added two memberships, we have both options here. Now this leads me to a little bit of housekeeping.
It’s really important that when you create your memberships and you add the description, give as much detail as you can, because what you’ll see here is I’ve added a description for 20 sessions a month, but not for four credits a week. So I know that for 20 sessions a month, I get pool and spa, open gym access, and why 20 credits, but for four credits a week, I don’t know what else I get. So it’s really, really, really important that you add detail to your membership so that when you do create campaigns like this, it comes up and as a member or a new member, I know what I’m buying.
So I’m actually gonna go for 20 sessions a month because I get pool and spa so that sounds great. What that does is it then takes me to my payment. So what I’ll see here as a new member is what my joining fee is, what my subscription fee is. So how much I’m paying pro rata for signing up on a different day of the month. When my next payment is due, which is the first of each month, because that’s how you would have set up the membership and what the regular payment is. So I now know what my total amount is that I’m gonna be paid up until the first of November and what my regular payment will be as a new member ongoing.
I can then add my card details, my contact details. And then once I’ve clicked next as a new member, my card would be charged and I’d be fully registered. Once we’ve done that, all of our post registration reach out information would then start going to our new member and there’ll be contacted with no touch from you all via the Quoox system.
So I hope that will make sense. We’ve gone through a lot of information here.
Tracking I.D’s and Completion Page
And the last thing to cover is that you can actually add your own tracking IDs here.
So this is optional, but you can add the IDs for tracking pixels to include in your templates. So you might want to add Facebook pixel IDs, Google analytics ID. That’s up to you, you can add that in here.
The other thing you can also optionally add is a completion page. So once I, as a member completed that sign-up, you could have it so that it takes you to a generic page. So for example, you’ll see here, it could be a thank you page, or it could be welcome to your new membership or maybe more information about what they get at the gym. It’s completely up to you whether you use this, but you can add that there.
Once I’ve done all of that, and I’m happy with everything, I would click save. It will save all of my changes. And you’ll see in the campaigns listings that I’ve got my new memberships purchase.
Campaigns Listing
From this campaign listings page, I’ll be able to see what the start and finish date is, how many registrations I’ve had, how many appointments have been booked. And then if I want that further information, I can go ahead and click edit campaign, and I can see that.
You could also click view registrations, and then you’ll be able to see that information in more detail there.
So lots of information, but that’s covered off for you how to sell your memberships using a campaign.
If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to get in touch or check out our other videos on support.Quoox.com.
I’ll see you soon.
