If you have Quoox configured to create your Zoom meetings, Quoox will attempt to auto-mark a member as “attended” when they join the Zoom session.
This function is only available for Zoom meetings that Quoox creates, and does not work for static Zoom rooms or other online meetings (such as WebEx)
When a member joins an online Zoom session, Zoom sends Quoox a small piece of data comprising the Zoom meeting ID and the member’s Zoom username.
Quoox uses this information to attempt to match the data with a booked member. Firstly the meeting ID is used to determine the session, and secondly the Zoom username is used to attempt to match a booked attendee.
Using the Zoom username isn’t fool-proof, but is the only information available to Quoox (to comply with Zoom’s privacy policies). Quoox will match the username against the member’s firstname and lastname, as recorded in Quoox.
For a successful match, the member’s Zoom username must comprise “[Firstname] [Lastname]”, and match the firstname and lastname (as written) in Quoox.
Examples:
Zoom Username | Quoox Firstname/Lastname | Is match? |

Chris Sherwood | Chris Sherwood | Yes |

Chris S | Chris Sherwood | No |
