In this course of videos, we’ve been looking at reports and KPIs and Metrics, and we’re now looking at the Member Snapshot tab.
We’re actually at the final report if you will, of the Member Snapshot tab, this is actually looking at Member Location.
So it’s more of a map than a report, But here we go!
So what this is showing you is where your members are in comparison to where your venues are based.
So you can do this and filter this based on venue should you wish if you’ve got multiple venues, otherwise, if you’ve got just the one, it will default to that for you.
Now, what you’ll see is your current venue in red, your other venues in green. So if you’ve got a few dotted around, then you’ll be able to see where your venue is based on the grey dots which are your members.
Now, we thought this would be really useful because it might allow you to focus specific marketing in specific areas. If you know most of your Chelmsford members are in a specific area or region of Chelmsford, for example, then you could focus that there.
And the other thing worth noting is that this is all based off of the data in your member’s profile by their home address. If it doesn’t have their address details, they obviously just won’t show in the maps. So that’s worth bearing in mind.
The other thing if you do have more than one venue and you filter to a specific venue and update the report page, the map at the bottom will also update, and it will give you a average distance from the facility. So this is now updated saying that members with their preferred venue set as Chelmsford live an average of 19 kilometres away from the facility.
So that’s an average based on the members that have that as their main venue. So you could do this for all of your different venues if you wanted specific information, or as we did previously, you can have an overview of all venues to see where everybody is, but essentially that is the member location report as I call it, with a bit more insight for you as to where your members are, how far they are from their preferred venue, and maybe how you can start using that data for marketing purposes maybe.
