Hi guys, welcome to Quoox University.
In this series, I’m gonna answer some of our frequently asked questions. And in this video, we’re gonna cover how to create and/or add family members.
So we’re gonna start by going to my.quoox.com. We’re gonna log into the main dashboard, and then we’re gonna go straight over to the left-hand side menu, click the Manage Dropdown and go straight into Families.
So we’ve got a couple of listings here. We’re gonna create a new one today.
So we’re gonna click Add. We’re gonna add the family names. So it might be Quoox family, let’s say, for the example of the demo. And for the notes, you might put there is a parent and a child, and we’re gonna click Next.
So now we’ve created the family, we can add a “payer” and a “payee”. Essentially the payer is the person that is going to pay for the additional members.
So in this case, if it’s a child, the child would be the payee, but we have options as to whether it’s that they pay for them or not and it essentially just puts them in as part of the family unit. So let’s go through the process.
So payers, we’re gonna add a payer; and let’s say we’re gonna add Franklin Abbs. And Franklin is the parent. And we’re gonna click the tick and we’ve added our first payer.
Now we can go ahead and add our payee. So in this scenario, it would be the child. So we’re gonna click Add a payee; and let’s say the child is David Johnsonn. You’ll see that when I’m selecting both options, they have to be added as a member previously to come up in the dropdown list. So you don’t have to add a membership or attribute them to anything just yet, but you can add them to a family, but they have to be created.
You have the options on how the payee is contacted. So whether it’s direct to the payee or whether the payer, or in this case, parent, would be the main contact for the account. So let’s say in this example, it will be the payer.
And again, you can do this for the funding source. So once you have added a membership to the child, for example, if there’s a cost attributed to that, you can either select the “Self-funded by the child” or that the payer will cover that cost. So in this case, that would be Franklin.
You can click the tick to save your changes, then you select Verify. And then a nice big warning screen comes up!
Not a “warning”, but just to get you to check that you’ve put the right information in the right place and you’re happy with the options that you selected. So you have now set up that David Johnsonn will be funded by Franklin Abbs.
You can then confirm that information, click Save, and the family will have been added here.
You can see how many payers and payees there are from the list. If you want to go in and make any edits, you click on the pencil and you can add either further payers or payees.
Hopefully that makes sense. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch and I’ll see you on the next video.
