Introduction
A contact card, technically known as a “vCard“, is a special downloadable file that contains the contact information for your business or venue. These vCards are understood by email apps & mobile devices and provide a very easy way for your leads & members to add your facility details to their devices.
Additional benefits of your leads and members having your details in their devices is that SMS messages will be shown with your facility name (rather than the mobile number), and having your email address in their address book reduces the chances of your emails going in their junk folder (unless they so mark them).
FitnessHub automatically generates contact cards for your business and each of your venues. These are available for your leads/members to download directly from your FitnessHub site, or you can send them the link in a text or email.
We recommend including a link to your contact card in your member welcome email or early on in the member induction process. You can also provide a link to the vCard at any time, such as on a campaign completion page etc.
Business vs Venue
Your business contact card comprises your business details, address, logo, Quoox email address and Quoox SMS number. A link to it is provided in the footer of your FitnessHub site.
Each venue contact card comprises your venue details, address, geographical map reference, Quoox email address and Quoox SMS number. A link to each is provided on the venue listing page on your FitnessHub site, as well as on the venue detail page.
We typically recommend that you direct your leads/members to the venue vCard relevant to them, as this will provide them the greatest amount of information.
Logo
The logo used in the contact card is derived from the square FitnessHub icon that you have uploaded. A light grey background is applied, as vCards do not support transparent images.
Merge fields
The business vCard URL may be referenced using the merge field [[BUSINESS.VCARDURL]]
.
The corresponding venue merge field is [[VENUE.VCARDURL]]
. However, as the venue merge field isn’t applied to many emails, you may wish to manually insert the venue vCard URL to provide it to your leads/members.
