Introduction
It is possible to pre-load the FitnessHub basket with either a credit pack, membership, or store item. This enables you to provide direct “buy now” links to your FitnessHub site.
Furthermore, by using this “secret URL” in your FitnessHub site you can also create custom “payment links” that you can provide directly to your members.
Note: The FitnessHub store is available only to registered members, and members will be asked to login as part of the process (if they have not opted FitnessHub to ‘remember’ their login details).
Pre-load links
You can find all of the “secret URLs” to pre-load your basket through the “FitnessHub > Basket preload links” found in Reporting > Reports from the main navigation menu.
The report lists the credit packs, memberships (with the corresponding plan), and store items (with corresponding variants) with their corresponding FitnessHub links.
Important: Whilst items marked as “private” do not appear on FitnessHub, “secret URLs” to these private items are provided and it is possible to purchase these private items using these links. This is intentional and by design.
Two additional parameters are available which may optionally be appended to the URL:
- The
clear
parameter will determine if the basket is cleared before the item is added. By default the basket is emptied.
Appending&clear=0
to the URL will suppress the emptying of the basket, and the item will be added as an additional item. - The
qty
parameter applies only to credit packs and store items and enables you to define a quantity greater than 1 to add to the basket.
For example, appending&qty=5
to the URL will add 5 items to the basket.
By default, just 1 item is added.
Payment Links
You can use this feature to create specific ad hoc payment links to send your members. This is done by adding private items to your Store.
For example, you might create an “Ad hoc Payment” store item. Then to this, you could add variants that included “Fitness Retreat Deposit”; “Fitness Retreat Final Payment” etc. You would make the store item private, so that it didn’t appear in the main store.
Then, having copied the “secret URL” from the report you could then send these links to your members to enable them to make an ad hoc payment for anything you like!
URL prettifier using QxLinks
The “secret URLs” are quite long, by their nature.
It is possible to turn these into very short URLs using Quoox’s built-in URL prettifier, found in Settings > FitnessHub Microsite > Custom URLs.
By way of example, the URL
https://demogym.fitnesshub.net/store/basket/preload/?type=2&id=1519e39d-8704-44fd-8f03-3284a60f0fd7&var=744
for a “standard membership” on a “monthly recurring plan” would be shortened to
https://qxl.ink/13ZXV
using Quoox’s built-in QxLinks function.
These shortened URLs are far more convenient for use in emails, text messages, or the QR code that Quoox generates automatically for you.
