Quoox users will be familiar with the premise of how membership credit packs work. Once a credit pack has been issued under a membership, it is then orphaned from the originating credit pack – allowing for a specific set of credits to be tailored for a specific member.
Whilst this feature provides great flexibility, it also complicated matters when it came to a facility wishing to amend the session types or venues valid for credits that had already been issued. From the August 2020 “Appetiser release” of Quoox, a new function has been added to remove complexity.
Now, when a credit issued to a member is edited, it is “unlinked” from the originating credit pack. This means that any changes subsequently made to the credit pack do not override the changes made manually.
A new checkbox has been added to the credit pack configuration screen, “Update session and venue validity for existing credits”. By default this checkbox is ticked.
When the valid session types or valid venues are amended for an existing credit pack, and the checkbox is ticked, a background task will run to bring the valid session types and venues for all existing credits issued by this credit pack into alignment. Therefore, adding a session type to the credit pack will (by default) also update existing credits. The same applies to venues.
Note: If you do not wish to update existing credits, simply un-tick the checkbox. Only valid session type and venues are propagated, not validity changes or other aspects.
