Some answers to commonly asked questions about Event Triggers are provided below.
How do I see which triggers have matched and fired?
On the Activities tab of the member record, and the Reach-outs & Nurturing tab of the lead record you can see a list of the triggers that have matched and have been ‘fired’ for that individual.
In the trigger listing you can see the number of times a trigger has matched and been fired, and the last time that the trigger matched.
How do I create different messages for a birthday trigger?
You can use the “Any one action from a sub-group of actions” option to create a trigger action that contains multiple sub-messages.
When the trigger is matched and actioned, Quoox will randomly select one of the messages from the sub-group and will send that message.
If you need to, you can have multiple “Any one action from a sub-group of actions” options on the same trigger.
Does one trigger affect another?
No, triggers run isolated. If one trigger is matched and, say, changes a member status this will not fire-off any member status changed triggers.
A trigger is effectively siloed and triggers do not cascade.
How do I control when a message is sent for a trigger?
Many of the trigger actions allow you to set a time range between which the action is performed. This time span is optional, but must be at least 2 hours in duration.
If the trigger is matched before the time specified as the start of the time range, the action will be delayed until the start time specified.
If the trigger is matched after the time specified as the end of the time range, the action will be delayed until the start time on the following day.
What merge fields can I use with my trigger actions?

Can a session related trigger send a message to the session lead coach?
Yes, use the “send a message to employee(s)” action, and select the “Assigned Session Lead Coach” option.
Important: If the session does not have an assigned lead coach, the message will not be sent. Therefore you should either include a backup individual, or put processes in place to ensure every session has a lead coach assigned.
Can a trigger send a message to a member's mentor?
Yes, use the “send a message to employee(s)” action, and select the “Assigned Mentor” option.
Important: If the member does not have an assigned mentor, the message will not be sent. Therefore you should either include a backup individual, or put processes in place to ensure every member has a mentor assigned.
