The October 19, 2019 feature release focuses on two main areas. As always, it also includes routine bug fixes and performance enhancements.
The main features of this release are:
- Introduction of Consultation type sessions
This release of Quoox introduces a new type of session. As well as the pre-existing ‘Session’, ‘Course’ and ‘Popup’ session types, a new type called ‘Consultation’ has been added. A consultation is typically an ad-hoc type of session, often one-to-one or on a small group basis. For example, a “rehabilitation session” or an “on-boarding session” would be typical examples of consultations. - Ad-hoc session scheduling
To coincide with the inclusion of consultation functionality into Quoox, we have also made it faster and easier to schedule ad-hoc sessions. As well as the previous method of scheduling a “one-off” session, you can now also create a new session from within the Scheduler. To do so, right click on the time period for which you wish to create a session, and select “New ad-hoc session” from the pop-up menu. Follow the simple step-by-step process, and your new session will be created.
Ad-hoc scheduling can be used any type of session. Typically you would schedule your routine/recurring sessions, and use the ad-hoc functionality for those irregular or one-off sessions that crop-up (such as consultations)
Additionally, a new function has been added that will automatically log you out of Quoox if you do not interact with the system for a period of time. This is to ensure the security and integrity of your core business system.
